A HIDDEN GeM in woburn

Located near Central Square, the 5 acre site originally set up by Rafael Guastavino and his son for high-quality ceramic tile production. The building showcases their unique architectural approach which can be seen in hundreds of other historic buildings throughout New England.

The factory was shut down in 1958, and the building slowly fell into disrepair. John Tocci purchased the decaying Tile Factory in 1998, and restored it to its present use as the headquarters for the TOCCI construction company. More on the history of the site can be found here.

A VISION FOR CENTRAL SQUARE

Our vision is to develop the site around the historic building as a unique multifamily development with a masterplan that also improves community infrastructure and amenities.

As long-time Woburn residents, the development team is excited to bring the same level of care and love of building to the masterplan as John Tocci has done to the restoration of the tile factory.

Community engagement

We invite the community to participate in a presentation held at the Guastavino Building, where we will present our conceptual plans and solicit feedback.

Mailers have been sent to residents of Central Square, however all Woburn residents are welcome!

When: July 30th, 2024, 6:30 PM

Where: 660 Main St, Woburn MA 01801. First Floor.

Materials from the meeting are available here.

December 3, 2024

On December 2nd, the City of Woburn held an auction for the fire station property at 654 Main St. We put in the winning bid, thereby securing a parcel which is integral to the traffic improvements in the proposed masterplan. In the coming week, we will be filing for a zoning overlay, with a public hearing anticipated early 2025.
